Most tours and trips in and around Bargara have
an aquatic nature, with the ultimate adventure being an unmissable trip to
the Great Barrier Reef's Lady Musgrave Island.
There are a number of companies that can take you
there, each with their own style of tour incoporating a different mixture
of Diving, Snorkelling, Glass Bottom Boats, Fishing as well as visiting the
island itself.
There are a whole host of fishing charter companies,
diving tours, (from novice to professional), surfschools, and don't forget
the Turtles at Mon Repos.
Land tours include the local 'Hummock', an ancient
volcano that is responsible for the scattering of volcanic rocks strewn around
the Bargara area.
Bundaberg, (14km), offers the Bundaberg Rum Factory
and the Bert Hinkler Memorial Museum which is set inside the Botanical Gardens.
And don't forget the sugar mill!
Further afield you have the Town of 1770, the Mystery
Craters, Bird Sanctuaries and zoos. |
